ADEMPIERE ENTERPRENEURSHIP TRAINING

This is for the UniKL grant suggestion.

The plan is to take 10 brightest student from UniKL to trained at London, UK and Berlin, Germany. Each group will consists of 5 participants.

Participants will be picked up by 2 method: meritocracy and interview

Basic requirement for Meritocracy Students

• CGPA 3.0 or above in the field of computer engineering, software engineering, IT, IS, finance, accounting or business.
• English at least MUET Band 4
• Highly indipendant and team player
• Comfortable working and participating in Internet-based discussion

Requirement for Interview

• English at least Band 4
• High interest in the ERP and Business subject matters
• Highly independant and team player
• Comfortable working and participating in Internet-based discussion

Each team is suggested to have these student qualities

• 3 software engineer, IT, IS with high proficient in the Java and Enterprise Java knowledge
• 2 business, finance, accounting or management discipline

Subject / Topic for Study

• Enterpreneurship 101 - etiquette, howto setup a company and some basic company law in Malaysia and round the world
• Deployment and maintenance of ADempiere software on multiple platform - Windows, Linux, BSD, Solaris and Mac
• The Database - detail look on the ADempiere database on 2 platforms - Oracle and PostgreSQL
• Application Server - sneak peek into both supported J2EE server (Jboss and Glassfish)
• Show me the codes - break open the code that powered ADempiere
