The following content focuses on ground transportation. Content for air cargo is being developed for an existing client that is among the top shippers in the world.

3rd Party Brokerage, OTR and Local Transportation

Implemented custom module for booking and shipping 3rd party freights from all points of US, Canada and Mexico. This module contains the following features:

  • Full integration with Adempiere accounting modules, AP, and AR.
  • Generates Truck Transportation Order and Carrier Load Confirmation as soon as freight is booked and customer and carrier rates are entered.
  • Customer Invoices can be generated immediately after Customer/Shipper and Carrier rates are entered. Full flexibility to mail, email or EDI invoices to Customers.
  • Automatically generates Carrier's AP information into the System which ensures that Carriers are paid on time and with accuracy.
  • Generates Delivery/Shipment Status EDI to Customers and/or Consignees.
  • Fully tracks loads from origin to destination. Allows for analysis of “Top Carriers” for a given route.
  • Reporting capabilities to track equipment (trailers, trucks, flatbeds) usage and repair history.
  • Reporting capabilities to track profit margins by customer, consignee or sales representative.

Less Than Load Services

  • Implemented Logistics module to track Less Than Load services and fully optimize load delivery. This module contains the following features:
  • Full integration with Compiere accounting modules, AR and AP.
  • Automated customer invoice generation. Full flexibility to mail, email or EDI invoices to Customers.
  • Generates Inbound and Outbound Manifests.
  • Inbound load tracking by PRO number and customer
  • Provides logistic tool to optimize outbound creation based on cargo load, distribution route, and appointment date/time.
  • Automated delivery rate calculation – flat rate or variable rate based on weight and distance.
  • Reporting capabilities to track profit margins by customer, consignee or sales representative.

  • Load delivery is planned as soon as inbound load is received.

  • Implemented Maintenance & Repair module to support maintenance and repair services to external customers or company owned equipment. This module contains the following features:
  • Full integration with Compiere accounting modules, AR and AP.
  • Ability to generate Work Orders and Invoices for external customers
  • Ability to generate Work Orders for services on company owned equipment and appropriately allocate service costs to departments or cost centers.

  • Ability to create Purchase Orders based on inventory levels and defined reorder points.
